Your physiotherapy appointments with us will generally involve the following:

1.     Injury assessment and treatment: Here will look at strength, range of motion and perform any necessary orthopaedic testing to help diagnose your injury and work our where your symptoms are coming from.

2.   Hands-on treatment to relieve symptoms: This can involve a combination of techniques such as soft tissue massage, myofascial cupping, trigger point release, myofascial release, joint mobilisation and dry needling. The type of treatment will be determined based on your needs, preferences and the evidence base for treating your specific condition.

3.   Exercise prescription and rehabilitation: It’s important to complement your physio treatments in clinic with the right exercises to make sure imbalances are being corrected, weakened areas are being strengthened, and you’re building a more resilient and robust body. We use online exercise prescription apps to ensure you have your program on your phone, complete with videos, explanations and how many reps and sets you need to do.

4.   Education and advice: Injury treatment and rehab isn’t just about what happens in the clinic at your treatments, it's how you manage things when you’ve walked out the door. We like to make sure clients know what they can be doing to help promote healing and progress in their recovery, as well as certain types of activities to avoid to prevent re-aggravating or worsening an injury or condition. Here we will also discuss a plan for your treatments and how we can best manage your injury and keep you feeling good in the long term.
